Biography

English author, screenwriter, and humorist, creator of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy — originally a BBC radio series, then a novel series, TV show, and feature film. His absurdist comedy, philosophical wit, and love of technology made him a cult figure. He was also a passionate environmentalist and early advocate for digital culture. He died of a heart attack at 49.
